Privacy policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026. This policy explains what estatetagsale.com collects, why, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written for the people who actually use this site: owners and managers of estate sale companies in the United States.
Who is responsible
The controller of the data described here is MLJ, SASU, publisher of EstateTagSale, contactable at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com. The publication director is Jimenez Julien. Company registration details are on the legal notice page.
What the contact form collects
The home page carries one form. When you submit it, these exact fields are transmitted to us: name (your full name), email (your work email address), company (your estate sale company name), role (your role, chosen from a list), request (whether you want a demo, early access or a quote), size (how many sales you run in a year, chosen from a list), message (what you write about your sale week) and consent (your confirmation that we may reply and store the details). Three hidden fields are also sent: form-name, subject and recipient, which route the message to the right inbox. A honeypot field named bot-field is present and is expected to stay empty; it exists only to catch automated spam.
We do not ask for a phone number, a mailing address, payment details, or any information about the families or estates you serve. Please do not include a client name, an executor's contact details or anything about a decedent in the message box. If you do, we delete it and tell you that we have.
Why we process it and on what legal basis
We use what you send for one purpose: to answer your enquiry, arrange a walkthrough of the software and, if you ask for one, prepare a quote. For readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the consent box, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry addressed to us. For readers in the United States, this is a business to business communication that you initiated. We do not use your details for profiling, for automated decision making, or for advertising of any kind, and we never sell or share them for cross context behavioral advertising.
Who processes and stores submissions
Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States, which hosts this site and operates Netlify Forms. A copy is delivered by email to the address published on this site. Netlify acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Beyond Netlify and standard email delivery, no third party receives your submission. We use no advertising trackers, no third party analytics cookies, no pixels and no social media widgets that phone home. The only browser storage this site uses is whatever your browser requires to display the page itself.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted within twelve months of the last message exchanged. Enquiries that become customer relationships are kept for the life of the account and for three years after it closes, so that we can answer questions about what was agreed. Email copies follow the same schedule. Spam caught by the honeypot is discarded automatically and is not read.
Your rights in the United States
Depending on where you live, state law gives you specific rights, and we extend the same handling to every reader regardless of state. Residents of California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA may request access to the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of sale or sharing, though we do not sell or share personal information. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion and portability, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, which we do not conduct. We do not discriminate against anyone who exercises a right, and there is no charge for a reasonable request.
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out, and to receive your data in a portable format. You also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority, which in France is the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertes.
How to exercise your rights
Write to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com with the email address you used on the form and tell us what you want done. We answer within thirty days and usually within two business days. We may ask one question to confirm that the request comes from you, and we will not ask you to create an account or install anything to make a request.
Children's privacy
This site is aimed at business owners and their staff. It is not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen, and we have no reason to receive any. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, write to us and we will delete it promptly.
International transfers
MLJ, SASU is established in France and the hosting and form processing described above take place on infrastructure operated by a company based in the United States. When personal data moves from the European Economic Area to the United States, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses included in our agreement with Netlify, together with the technical measures described below.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions travel encrypted, and access to the inbox that receives them is limited to Jimenez Julien and protected by multi factor authentication. We review who has access twice a year. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever affects your details we will tell you what happened, when, and what we did, without waiting to be asked.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page and describe what changed. Material changes affecting how we use existing enquiries will be sent by email to the address that submitted them.
